The new Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be a key driver and partner of the growth strategy for the organization. Building upon the great reputation the agency has fostered over its long tenure, this leader will help to expand capacity and bandwidth and will work strategically with the CEO and Chief Program Officer to continue to drive the growth and expansion of services.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will report to the President & CEO and will oversee the functions of the Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Quality Improvement, Information Technology, Maintenance & Facilities and Organizational Development/Training.
The COO will supervise four (4) key administrative leaders within the aforementioned departments, as well as taking point on a number of high-level initiatives. In addition, the COO will coordinate input from multiple stakeholders to drive forward complex organizational projects, such as negotiations with Managed Care Organizations (MCO), Risk Based Contracts and Value Based Contracts.
The successful candidate will have experience in human resources, administrative operations, facilities management, technology and quality improvement, with particular focus in finance and accounting, preferably in a nonprofit setting. This individual will have demonstrated experience developing operational standards, policies and practices and is highly skilled in problem solving and being a decisive decision-maker.
This individual will have at least six to ten years of senior/executive managerial experience in a complex organization with a proven track record of success. Master’s level degree (MS, MPH, MBA, MHA) is required; or a combination of education and professional experience. A focus on strategic planning and experience in negotiating Value Based Contracts and Risk Based Contracts with Managed Care Organizations is preferred.
