Serving Children and Families for 115 Years

The Hoyleton Ministries

Innovation {in·no·va·tion} - a new way of doing something. It may refer to incremental or revolutionary changes in thinking, products, processes, or organizations. (Wikipedia)

The Hoyleton ministries - Hoyleton Youth and Family Services, Puentes de Esperanza, and the Hoyleton Children’s Home Foundation – are dedicated to helping all people realize the quality of life that God intends. In order to be successful in this goal over the past 115 years, we have learned to embrace innovative ways to serve a diverse and changing population.

Our staff provides compassionate care to thousands of children who have, through no fault of their own, entered the child welfare system.  We spend countless hours working to heal the physical and emotional wounds of clients in our care.

Prayer and discernment has led us to focus on families that are still living together, but experiencing difficulties.  Innovation has come to Hoyleton in the form of several new preventative programs, designed to strengthen and lift up families on the brink of crisis.

Since its inception in 1895, our residential program has been the home of thousands of children. Our staff, supporters and volunteers have put in countless hours working to erase hurt, fear, and anger.

As always, children grow up, and many in our care would move on to adult placements, some of which were not ideal. Innovation has come to Hoyleton in the form of a new Community Integrated Living Arrangement, or CILA. We now are able to provide a living arrangement for adults, providing the same compassionate care as in the residential program.

At Hoyleton, we follow Christ’s mandate to heal the sick and help the poor, and will continue finding innovative ways to help the most vulnerable in our communities.
